Village Tourism on the Serayu Riverside

There is a new trend of tourism in Indonesia. It is called the village tourism. It maybe came up into popular because of many urban people longing for the country side atmosphere. It feels like to go back in time when life was simpler and nature was still on our backyard. If you are looking for something different when visiting Indonesia, you must try this one.
You might need to explore the city and find the “original” villages. There is usually an agricultural society live there. One village that is strongly recommended is the Jujugan Serayu village. It is a small village on the riverside of Serayu River, Banjarnegara in Central Java. The theme of this village is a natural fishing and dining-in concept. It means that you can do fishing here then asking the restaurants nearby the river to immediately cook the fish you caught with their special recipe.
You can easily find this village because it has a unique gate as the symbol of this village. The architecture of this gate is influenced with the Javanese and Balinese style. Enter the gate then you will find a line of bamboo or wooden hut with straw ceilings. It is really a great place to have a harmonious get away.
